EUREKA – Israel Chairmanship 2010 – 2011 
Conference on Science & Technology Innovation at the European Parliament

Representatives of the European Parliament, Israeli Parliament, Israel Office of Science & Technology, Israeli Industry Center for R&D and leading Venture Capital Funds were among the leading figures who attended a conference that focused promoting a culture of science and technology innovation across the EU Member States in July 2010.

Sponsored by EUREKA, the Israel Chairmanship conference presented the current technology innovation trends, including an overview on the Israel technology industry and success stories. These were discussed in the context of current research and activities programs, both at European and Israeli levels, and the future outcomes of innovation on EU countries.

The second part of the conference was dedicated to venture capitalists and entrepreneurs, who presented the latest technological trends in their sectors. This was particularly relevant to the representatives from EUREKA clusters and National Project Coordinators who attended alongside the government representatives.

A large focus of the Conference was Israeli technology innovation, available and being developed, to provide solutions in a wide variety of telecommunications, internet, life sciences, Cleantech, energy, food safety and public health applications.
